The Samsung W2018 is not only the most powerful flip phone in the market but also has one of the best rear cameras. The device's highlight is its rear 12MP camera with large 1.4 um pixel size and f/1.5 aperture. It is also worth noting that the device breaks LG V30's record of f/1.6 aperture. Having a low aperture and large pixel size also makes W2018's cameras one of the brightest image capturing smartphone cameras in a low light environment. At the front, you get a 5MP camera...

Samsung Galaxy S9 Launch Date!?

Image
Samsung already holds a great share of the mobile market, and its biggest competitor is Apple. Apple has switched on the gears with IPhone X & iPhone 8. The market has responded very well to iPhone X. Well the around the globe there are genuine fans for both Samsung Galaxy Series and iPhone series. Samsung has launched S7 and S8 in two versions. We can see the same for Galaxy S9, to counter the iPhone X, Samsung may push an early launch of Galaxy S9. Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus has been Codenamed ‘Star & Star2’ with Full Bezel-less Display on bench marking website The launch date of Galaxy S9 is rumoured in Q1 of 2018, which will be  last week of February  or  1st week of March 2018. Samsung Galaxy S9 is their flagship series and stakes are very high in the mobile market with all companies flagging off their best devices, no one here can’t step on the wrong stone.

Cortana powered Harman/Kardon Invoke could cost $150!!

Image
5 OCTOBER 2017 The Harman/Kardon Invoke is a smart speaker powered by Microsoft’s Cortana that is coming this Autumn, the third week of October specifically. However, the company is yet to announce its price – well, Microsoft may have let that slip through Xbox Live awards. The Invoke speaker was listed as an award worth $150, which would put it above the cost of a  new Amazon Echo Plus  ($150 with a Hue bulb) and the Google Home ($130, but backordered). Well, H/K does have a reputation for premium quality and price. You can make Skype calls with your Invoke or listen to Spotify (now that Groove Music got the axe), but can Microsoft offer the same level of smart home integration that Amazon and Google are pushing?

Samsung Galaxy A (2018) renders show off the Infinity Display!!

Image
4 OCTOBER 2017 We caught  a glimpse  of the  Galaxy A5 (2018)  and the  Galaxy A7 (2018) , now it’s time for a better look. Check out the 18.5:9 Infinity Display on the front, it makes the phones look premium. Benchmark results so far have failed to reveal the resolution, but we’re probably looking at 1080p – or rather 1,080 x 2,220px to match the aspect ratio.   Samsung Galaxy A (2018) with Infinity Display Around the back we find a single camera (dual camera will likely land on the 2019 model). The fingerprint reader is better positioned than on the Note. It’s still fairly close to the camera, but we think it’s better.   Samsung Galaxy A (2018) - single cam on the back, better fingerprint reader positioning And finally, check out the sides and note the Bixby button – the much maligned button that launches Samsung’s digital assistant. Note that the smallest device of the series, the Galaxy A3 (2018), may miss out on some features – the Bixby ...

New leaked image shows Huawei Mate 10 next to its predecessor

Image
03 OCTOBER 2017 Huawei may insist on saying the upcoming  Mate 10 is not a smartphone , but it sure leaks like one. Following the huge leak from yesterday, which brought us  press renders  of the  Mate 10 Pro , today a new image compares that device to the Mate 9 from last year, as you can see. It's not clear if this is to scale, but if it is then expect the Mate 10 Pro to be slightly narrower and perhaps a tad shorter than its predecessor. The Mate 10 Pro has a glass back, dual rear cameras with Leica branding (and f/1.6 aperture at least on the main one), a fingerprint scanner under those, and a dual-LED flash. It will be powered by the in-house developed Kirin 970 chipset, which has a dedicated neural processing unit that will enable AI features. Alongside the Mate 10 Pro, we're expecting a regular Mate 10 to launch, but also a Mate 10 Lite and a Mate 10 Porsche Edition.

OnePlus 5T Cancelled, OnePlus 6 to launch in early 2018!?!

Image
02 OCTOBER 2017 If you were holding out for a OnePlus 5T, perhaps you shouldn’t – the rumors thinks that it’s not happening. Instead, the launch of the OnePlus 6 has been pulled up to early 2018. Last year, the company launched the 3T as a way to switch to the +1 version of the chipset (Snapdragon 820 to 821) and to raise the price a bit. Well, they did upgrade the selfie cam too. This year, there will be no +1 for the Snapdragon 835 this year and OnePlus already played the dual camera card. Plus, it offers generous storage and RAM, so there’s not much for a T version to upgrade. What will the OnePlus 6 be like? Tough to tell for now, but a move to a 6” screen – the first bump in screen size of the series – is not unlikely, especially if combined with an 18:9 screen and a bezel-less design. If that’s true, we’ll hear from Carl Pei and co. about it early on in the hype cycle.

How does the DUAL Camera Systems on smartphones actually works?!!

Image
02 OCTOBER 2017 Dual camera systems on smartphones have been around for several years now. Some of the earliest examples include the weird 3D camera on the  HTC EVO 3D . Then it was HTC again who introduced it in a different form on the  One m8 . Then LG decided to drop in with its cool wide-angle lens with the  G5  and the same year, Apple decided to take in the other direction by adding a telephoto lens on the  iPhone 7 Plus . Meanwhile, Huawei had other ideas, with its Leica branded monochrome camera on the  P9 . But just how many types of dual camera systems are out there and how do they differ from each other? Most importantly, are they any good or is it just a passing fad? Let’s find out. The Depth Sensor We will start with this as this is the most basic form of dual camera system. In this system, the primary camera is accompanied by a second camera whose only function is to 3D map the area in front of the camera. As you may know, we are able to s...

NOKIA 3310 history in CounterClockWise !!

Image
2 OCTOBER 2017 In honor of the  3G-enabled Nokia 3310 , we wanted to trace the history of one of the best-known phone models. What made it so popular and is it still relevant today? Our story begins with the  Nokia 3110 , the first phone to feature the Navi-Key, a smart button below the screen whose function changes in each menu (the label on the screen tells you its current function). This became the primary way to navigate Nokia's feature phone interface, surviving well into the touchscreen era (when the physical button was replaced by the touchscreen itself).   Nokia 3110 Two years later came out the  Nokia 3210 . With 160 million units sold, it is to this day one of the most popular phones ever. Having Snake pre-installed probably helped. You can see the familiar design start to take shape as 3110's external antenna was chopped off. This was one of the first phones to do it, but reception suffered a bit.   Nokia 3210 Finally, the  Nokia 3310 ...

WEEK 39 in review: Google Pixel 2 specs leak, Nokia 3310 now has 3G !?!!

Image
1 OCTOBER 2017 When official announcements are scarce, leaksters arise. Such was the situation in Week 39 - the Google Pixel 2, the Samsung Galaxy A-series 2018 and the Huawei Mate 10 series popped up before their respective announcements. The Essential PH-1 was supposed to be a breakthrough device, but apparently, the company sold only 5,000 devices since its launch. Apple launched the iOS 11 and bugs started appearing. Cupertino issued a v11.0.1 update which supposedly fixes various issues. On Thursday HMD Global finally brought us the Nokia 3310 with 3G support, meaning it will finally arrive in Japan, Korea, Singapore, the US and other countries that moved away from 2G networks. Here's what were the most read articles throughout the past week 39. Google Pixel 2 specs leak Apple took away the headphone jack, guess what Google will remove?
